Parents Involved in Child Education |
We as parents started to be involved in our child's education hoping to make a difference. We were happy to discover we have made great strides in helping our kids with their education. We have learned to be a support system, and help them along (nurture might be a better word).
We know the statistics say that children who have parents who nurture, and help with the child's education are less likely to get arrested, and have the good fortune to move toward a high school diploma, and excellent jobs in the real world.
We keep in mind that the kids need to live a triangular life. Where home, school, and the community help with education. We want their lives to reflect those things.
What we do with our magazines is keep the triangle in mind. To help them to learn new and exciting things. But most importantly for us we think of as saying we once heard. "Knowledge is Power"
At home we model good behavior and good habits of learning. Showing how much fun it can be, and that its worth pursuing.
So to sum this up we want to be parents involved in our child's education because the more knowledge we help them find, the better they do in school, the better they do at home, the better they act in the community, and the better chance they have at their adult lives. |
